Raymond Fenech is new Air Malta chairman

The government has appointed Raymond Fenech as chairman of Air Malta. The new members of the board are Joseph A Gasan, Norman Spiteri, Eric P. Fenech Pace, Karen Bugeja, Joseph Borg, Chris Grech and George Micallef. Mr Fenech has years of experience in the hospitality and property divisions of the Tumas Group. He is currently a director in all the Tumas Group companies. Under the former administration he was the chairman of the Foundation for Tomorrow's School and the Malta Tourism Authority. Outgoing Air Malta chairman Louis Farrugia had expressed his wish not to be reappointed.
