Gozo Channel fast ferry service bidder chosen

Gozo Channel has selected its favourite bidder for the fast-ferry service between the two islands following a period of evaluation. The selected bidder is Islands Ferry Network, which is made up of Magro Brothers Investments Ltd and Fortina Investments Ltd. In a statement on Saturday, Gozo Channel said it had received seven offers for the service after a call for offers last February.  In the coming days, Gozo Channel will submit its offer a contract for public concession where it regards the service of passengers and vehicles.  The fast ferry service is to be operated by a 350-passenger catamaran.
