Man injured after falling into quarry

Updated at 8.50pm A man had to be hospitalised after he fell at a quarry in Triq Tumas Chetcuti, Attard at 5.45pm. The condition of the man is not yet known. In a separate accident, police said that a 30-year-old motorcyclist was seriously injured on Triq in-Naxxar, Birkirkara at 1.30pm, after the motorbike he was riding was involved in a collision with a car being driven by a 40-year-old from Mosta. And there was yet another accident at 6pm on Triq Santa Marija, Sliema, which left a 35-year-old Polish woman in a serious condition. The woman was hit by a car driven by a 34-year-old man from Żurrieq.
