Arriva driver dies after falling ill at the wheel

An Arriva bus driver who collapsed while driving yesterday, has passed away. The driver suffered a heart attack while driving down the Birkirkara bypass towards Iklin yesterday afternoon. The bus stopped on a centre strip. The passengers were unhurt. The driver was assisted by another Arriva driver, a doctor and two nurses who happened to be on the scene. He was taken to hospital in an ambulance, but he passed away today.
