Men beat up employee who stopped them entering women's restroom

A 17-year-old man from Birzebbuga and his friend Marco Rapinett, 22, from Valletta have been put on probation for three years after they admitted beating up and slightly injuring a Burger King employee. The court heard that the two young men went to the women’s toilets of the Valletta Burger King outlet on December 26, 2010. The employee stopped them from entering and they punched her and beat her up. In handing down their sentence, Magistrate Antonio Micallef Trigona noted that they had no prior criminal record.
