Man, woman injured in separate accidents

A man and a woman were injured in separate traffic accidents at Floriana and Qormi this morning. In the first accident, at around 10.45am, a woman was was hit by a car as she was crossing the road near Pavi supermarket. Her condition is not yet known. The man, a 69-year-old motorcyclist from Rabat, was grievously injured in a crash also involving a VW Golf, that was being driven up the road from Portes des Bombes by a 68-year-old man from Lija at 11.15am. The biker was taken to hospital by ambulance. (see video)
