Paul Borg Olivier, outgoing general secretary of the PN, says in an interview with The Sunday Times today that in the same way as the party felt the need to renew all its structures and officials when it won narrowly in 2008, it should do so also after last month's heavy defeat.
In his interview, Dr Borg Olivier says the PN has a temporary cash flow problem, but it has a strong asset base. He also says he assumes responsibility for his role in the general election, and he was the one who invited Austin Gatt and Joe Saliba to return to give a helping hand. Dr Borg Olivier said he was prepared to serve his term all over again because satisfaction was not based on success, but on the will to serve.
