Two motorcyclists skid along the Coast Road

Updated 6.05pm - Man badly hurt Two motorcyclists skidded while riding their bikes along the Coast Road on Saturday afternoon.  The two men, both in their 50s, were riding in the Buġibba/Naxxar direction when they lost control of their vehicles at around 2.30pm.  A 59-year-old man from Żabbar who lost control of his Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle was taken to hospital by ambulance, where he is receiving treatment for his injuries, which the police described as grievous.  A Gudja man, 53, riding a Yamaha also skidded but escaped without any serious injuries.
