Outdoor viewing veranda at Malta Airport

Malta Airport has opened an outdoor viewing veranda at Level 3 of the terminal building. The new 150m2 area is adjacent to the internal viewing area, the children’s play area and the restaurant, all of which overlook Apron 9, which is the main apron of activity. The idea of the project came as a result of various suggestions by shareholders and the public. The project, initiated in January, was carried out following approval by the aviation security regulator. The area will be accessible during the day and closed during the silent hours. There may also be occasions when the area will be closed due to weather or security considerations, MIA said.
