Incoming MP Claudette Buttigieg has confirmed her intention to throw her name into the hat for the post of Nationalist Party deputy leader.
Ms Buttigieg, née Pace, said that as a communicator, she believed she had the right qualities to give the party what it lacked: communication with the people.
Ms Buttigieg said that although she had been pushed to seek election as leader, she felt it would be “too presumptuous” to aim that high.
