The Times of Malta reports on Friday that Socialist MEPs want Malta to be branded as a tax haven, along with a story that the parent company of the recently-built Crane Currency is to be sold to another American company, called Crane Co., but that this will not affect operations of the local factory. L-Orizzont dedicates its front page to the fact that the voting age has been reduced, meaning 16-year-olds will be allowed to vote in the forthcoming European Parliament elections. In-Nazzjon confirms that the three people accused of the murder of Daphne Caruana Galizia had never been mentioned on her blog, and includes chilling excerpts from an Italian newspaper report on the details of the investigation. The Malta Independent says that politically-exposed persons may be barred for entering the Volunteer of the Year Award after controversy erupted over it been won this year by the Prime Minister's wife, Michelle Muscat.
