Unlucky driver injured in Sta Venera crash

A driver was critically injured and trapped in the wreckage of his car during a crash into the Sta Venera Aqueduct this morning. People on the scene said the driver of the Vitz, a 52-year-old from Marsa, swerved into the aqueduct in order to avoid a head-on crash with a BMW which was overtaking two cars. The driver of the Vitz was extracted from his vehicle by rescuers of the Civil Protection Department.
