Elderly woman found dead in her home

The police are investigating the death of an 81-year-old woman in her home in Gzira, although it is believed that this was an accident. The woman was found dead this afternoon in an apartment in Nazju Ellul Street. She is believed to have slipped and hit her head against a table or chair as she fell. She was alone at the time. A magisterial inquiry is under way.
