Driver's theft report was false - police

Police investigations have established that a man's claim that he was stopped and robbed while driving at Hal Farrug early yesterday was false. The 35-year-old from Siggiewi claimed two men stopped him, sprayed pepper spray at him and robbed him at about 2 a.m. "Following investigations, the police have established that this was a false report," the police said. Further investigations are continuing.
