Three hurt in Paola crash

Three young people were injured, one of them seriously, in a traffic accident in Ghajn Dwieli Road near Paola this afternoon. The incident happened at 2.45 p.m when a Peugeot 306 which was being driven by a 58-year-old man from Cospicua hit the pavement, an electricity pole and a wall. Also in the car were two men aged 18 and 20 and a girl aged 15, all of Cospicua. The 18-year-old man was seriously injured. The girl was slightly injured while the condition of the other man is being assessed. They were extracted from the car by members of the Civil Protection Department.
