Updated: Arriva bus catches fire

A 16-year-old boy was injured when an Arriva route bus caught fire in Triq Alfred Cachia Street, Zejtun at around 5.15pm. It is not yet known what his injuries are but they are not believed to be critical. The boy was taken to Mater Dei Hospital by his parents. He was sitting at the back of the bus where it was believed the fire started. Initially, it was believed there were no injuries. The fire was controlled by the Civil Protection Department. It is not yet known what caused the fire.
