Two women, three children injured in traffic accident

Two women were grievously injured in a traffic accident in Marsaxlokk this afternoon. They are not in a critical condition. Three children were also injured in the accident, which took place in Triq il-Kavallerizza at 12.10pm. The police said a 44-year-old woman from Marsaxlokk was driving a Volkswagen Polo which collided with a bus that was being driven by a 49-year-old man from Zejtun. The other victims, a 30-year-old woman and three children, were passengers in the Polo. BIKER INJURED IN COLLISION A 37-year-old biker from St Paul’s Bay was also grievously injured in another accident in Triq Reġjonali, St Julian’s at 2pm. He is not in a critical condition. The biker was riding a Yamaha R1 that was involved in a collision with a Toyota Corolla that was being driven by a 31-year-old man from Paola. He was not injured.
