Zewwieqa promenade project to be completed next month

The Zewwieqa promenade project in Mgarr Harbour, Gozo, will be completed next month, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said this afternoon. He was taken on a tour of the €5m project this morning, accompanied by Gozo Minister Giovanna Debono. 80% of the project is being funded by the EU. The project, in progress for several years, covers an area of 18,000 square metres, with a 700-metre stretch along the coast. It includes new paving, facilities for fishermen and the yacht marina and a car park. A restored Dagħjsa tal-Latini will decorate a section of the project.
