Four arrested over theft of cables

The police have arrested four men in connection with investigations into theft of cables from a plant in Kirkop. The police said they received reports of theft from the plant over the past week. Last night at about 11 p.m. the police observed a man trying to climb up a wall to enter the plant. He was arrested. A search revealed tools which may have been used in the theft of the cables. The police then arrested another three men who were found hiding close to the plant.  They are expected to be taken to court in the coming days.
