More than 11,000 students graduated from Mcast in the past five years and the government is determined to continue to invest millions in a new campus in the coming legislature, Prime Minister Lawrence Gonzi said this morning.
Speaking as he was touring the ongoing works at the new campus in Corradino, Dr Gonzi said that, with the help of EU funds, Mcast will soon have one of the most modern campuses in the southern European region.
The Prime Minister said that the new investment, totalling some €120 million, reflected the government's determination to continue to invest in education as this was the best recipe for Malta's success.
Dr Gonzi said that all this would not have been possible without EU membership.
Through millions of euros from the European Regional Development Funds, Mcast had equipped its laboratories with state of the art equipment, he said.
