Aircraft technical problem delays flight

Updated at 1.30pm Air Malta's flight to Gatwick this morning will be leaving at 3pm due to a technical problem rendering the aircraft inoperable. The airline's engineers worked on the aircraft throughout the morning. The flight was scheduled to leave Malta at 8.40am.
