Update 3 - Anglu Farrugia to represent PL at parliamentary conference

Former PL deputy leader Anglu Farrugia has accepted to represent the Labour Party in a Commonwealth parliamentary conference that will be held in the Falkland Islands in the coming days. Party leader Joseph Muscat made the announcement at party headquarters during the party's fund-raising marathon. Dr Muscat said he wanted to convey a heartfelt greeting to his friend Anglu Farrugia.   He said he recognised that Dr Farrugia had been through difficult days and he wished to heartily thank him after having confirmed to him that he had accepted to represent the PL in a parliamentary delegation which would attend a conference abroad.   Repeating a comment about Dr Farrugia which he made yesterday, Dr Muscat said the door was always open for Dr Farrugia. This, he said, was one movement, one united team. The announcement was greeted with loud applause. Dr Muscat yesterday said he saw a role for Dr Farrugia in the party and the country and the door was always open to him. Dr Farrugia was forced to resign in December, over comments he made about a member of the judiciary.
