Worker trapped under marble slabs

A worker was seriously injured this morning when he was trapped under marble slabs. The incident happened at about 8.45 in Triq Durumblat on the outskirts of Mosta. Rescuers from the Civil Protection Department and the police were on the scene to lift him from the site, assisted by the prompt action of the workers' colleagues.  He was rushed to hospital in an ambulance.
