Court-appointed expert Daniela Mangion today exhibited in court CDs and transcripts of 79 intercepted phone calls between former judge Ray Pace and Sandro Psaila and Raymond Caruana, the two men accused of attempting to bribe him.
Dr Mangion said she was exhibiting the text of 14 SMSs, with the rest being phone calls made between August to December last year.
She said a number of people involved in the calls could not be identified. There was one call between Raymond Caruana and another woman whom Caruana refers to as "hawn Don" but that was as far as it went.
The case was deferred for February 6 at 11am.
In earlier sittings, prosecutors had told the court how the phone interceptions had shown a link between Judge Pace and Raymond Caruana and Sandro Psaila.
Police officers said they had heard recordings of phone intercepts between Psaila and Caruana where the judge and Darren Desira, a man convicted in a drug case, were mentioned.
Supt Vassallo said Psaila is the part-owner of a restaurant in Qawra where Judge Pace used to eat for free.
