Mosta council, police, meet to end cat crucifixions

Mosta council will meet the police tomorrow to discuss how to end the crucifixion of cats and puppies in the town. Four cats and two puppies were found nailed upside down to wooden crosses since 2011. Mayor Shirley Farrugia said there were no leads so far. The council has already had informal meetings with the police but closer collaboration is planned. Most of the cases have occurred on the 15th or 16th of the month but Dr Farrugia said these numbers had no particular significance. Forensic psychologists who spoke to The Times after the crucifixion of the first puppy agreed that the offender was probably a delusional adolescent male suffering from personality disorder and who lived close to the crime scene.
