Anġlu Farrugia says his decision 'is final'

Anġlu Farrugia, the PL’s former deputy leader, says his decision not to contest the general election is final. “Despite the many people who have urged me to contest, I will not change my mind. This issue is closed for me and I will not be a Labour candidate,” he told The Times. There were various attempts behind the scenes by Labour’s top brass to persuade Dr Farrugia to run on the 11th district, his home constituency.
