A man who is charged with crashing his car into two parked vehicles and then threatening their owners with a knife, initially refused to allow police officers into his home when they went to investigate.
Taking the witness stand in the compilation of evidence against Roderick Cilia of Ghaxaq, PC Joseph Attard said that after the crash, the two car owners, who lived in the same road in Ghaxaq, confronted the accused.
The accused threatened them with a knife and drove off to his apartment, also in Ghaxaq. He initially refused to let in the police and resisted arrest.
After the police arrested him, they searched his Rover that was parked outside his apartment and found a flick knife and two screw drivers.
The case continues.
