Ice bucket challenge returns

Scores of people took part in an ice bucket challenge this afternoon organised by ALS Malta and the Ta' Xbiex council. The challenge, at the Ta' Xbiex Yacht Marina, was aimed at raising funds for the  ALS Malta cause. During the event, participants were showered with ice water was poured from two trucks as well as many buckets. ALS, Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis, is a progressive neuro degenerative disease that affects nerve cells in the brain and the spinal cord.
